How to delete your WordLex account

At WordLex, we respect your right to manage your personal data. This page explains how you can delete your account and what happens to your data once the process is completed.

1. Delete via the application

To delete your account directly from the application, follow these steps:

• Go to your Profile.
• Tap on Edit Profile.
• Scroll to the bottom and select Delete Account.

2. What happens when you delete your account?

• The deletion of the account is instantaneous and irreversible.
• Your profile information, description, avatar, and score data are permanently deleted.
• Some data is kept but anonymized (no longer linked to an account): your game rounds and matches. Once the account is deleted, your name will appear as "Deleted Account" in past matches, and your profile page will no longer be accessible.
• Anti-fraud and security logs are also kept for a limited time, but they have no direct link to a user profile.

3. Alternative: Deletion via email

If you cannot access the application, you can request the deletion of your account by sending an email to [email protected] with the subject 'WordLex Account Deletion'.

Important: You must use the same email address that was used for your WordLex account. If the email address does not match, your request will be rejected for security reasons.
